Berlin Dreams are more than a client to me: I used to play for the club and have been covering them with the camera for over two years – for social media, sponsor pitch decks, and whatever imagery the team needs. Their games at Sömmeringhalle are a fixed date in my calendar.
Trying out photography and gaining experience
In the beginning, it was a chance to try out photography. Court, light, motion – I could experiment and learn without heavy time pressure. Berlin Dreams trusted me and used my images. That helped me find a clear style and get more confident.Visibility and more workBecause the work is visible – on the team’s channels, in pitch decks for sponsors – it got attention. That led to a lot of good contacts and more commissioned work. It shows: when images have real use and are actually used, others notice.
From photos to video
For a while now I’ve also been doing videography at the games. Here I can try out ideas and creativity and at the same time gain experience with motion – scenes, mood, editing. The hall and the team give me a space to keep developing.
Why this matters to me
